PPR Vaccine – Nigerian 75/1
Composition:
After reconstitution with respective diluents each dose of 1ml should contain not less than 2.5 TCID50 PPR virus.
Indication:
A vaccine indicated for the prophylactic immunisation of sheep and goats against the Nigerian 75/1 strain of Peste des Ruminants (PPR) virus.
Vaccination Program:
The vaccine may be administered in lambs and kids at 3 months of age or older. Ideally, vaccinate after the lambing or kidding season or during the onset of breeding season.
Administration:
This vaccine should be administered with an intramuscular injection at mid neck or thigh region. Use precautions including application on clean dry skin, sterile needles and syringes for every administration.
Pack Size and Storage:
The vaccine is freeze-dried (lyophilised) in 2ml glass vials. It is available in 50 & 100 doses per vial with respective diluents, namely 50ml and 100ml vials. Store the vaccine vials in a cool dry place below 8°C. Protect the diluents from light, however they may be stored at room temperature.
