Composition:
Each dose contains not less than 103 EID50 of Standard Type 1, Intermediate Invasive strain, Infectious Bursal Disease virus.
Indication:
A live, chicken embryo origin vaccine indicated for the immunisation of chickens with low to moderate maternal antibodies against Infectious Bursal Disease, used for both initial vaccination and revaccination.
Vaccination Program:
- The first dose of the vaccine should be administered at 12 to 14 days of age in chickens with low or variable antibodies.
- In areas of higher incidences of Infectious Bursal Disease, a second dose should be administered 10 to 14 days later.
- Based on a veterinarian’s recommendation, the schedule for chicks with higher levels of maternal antibodies should be determined after the maternal antibody titer test.
- Breeder flocks should have a booster vaccination administered between 3 to 6 weeks before the inactivated IBD vaccine is given, to ensure uniform antibody response.
Administration:
This vaccine can be administered by Intraocular instillation or via drinking water.
Pack Size and Storage:
The vaccine is freeze dried (lyophilised) in 5ml and 15ml vials, and 10 vials are packed per box. It is available in 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2500, 5000 and 10000 doses per vial, with diluent. Protect the vaccine from light and store between 2°C and 8°C; do not freeze it.
