Composition:

Each dose contains not less than 106 EID50 LaSota strain, Newcastle Disease Virus.

Indication:

A vaccine indicated for the immunisation of chickens against Newcastle Disease. It is sealed with a technique that renders it more stable than a regular vaccine.

Vaccination Program:

The vaccination schedule may vary, depending on factors like incidence and poultry flock concentration, however the following schedule is applicable to most areas:

  • The first dose of the vaccine can be administered at 2 weeks of age or older. 
  • Once the chick is 3-6 weeks of age, revaccination can take place. 
  • Replacement pullets should also be given booster vaccinations every 14-16 weeks throughout their life for better production. 
  • Vaccine Reaction: Respiratory symptoms may be more evident after the first vaccination and will vary with age and maternal immunity. Make sure the birds are comfortable with heat and ventilation while going through the reaction.

Administration:

This vaccine can be administered either by Intraocular or the Intranasal method.

Pack Size and Storage:

The vaccine is freeze dried (lyophilised) and are available in pack sizes of 50, 100 and 200 doses per vial. Protect the vaccine from light and store between 2°C and 8°C; do not freeze it. The vaccine is also stable at 37°C for a duration of 10 days, but the diluent can be stored at room temperature.
